The Inter American Press
Association is a non-profit organization among whose objectives is the defense
of freedom of expression and of the press in the Americas, the protection
and defense of the interests of the press and journalism, the fostering
of high standards of professionalism and business conduct, the promotion
of the exchange of ideas and information leading to the technical and professional
development of the press, and the dissemination of the fundamental principles
of a free society and individual liberty.
